Similac Or Enfamil – Which Baby Formula To Choose?

Being a parent is not always easy, and sometimes we need a little bit of help. Baby formula is beneficial, but what do you do when you do not know which one to choose? There are so many options out there, and every parent knows the struggle of finding the best baby formula for their little one.

Enfamil and Similac are the most popular options, and we’re about to save you a lot of time by explaining the main things you need to know about each one, so you could choose the best baby formula.

Enfamil A.R. vs Similac Spit-Up

Both of these formulas were made for babies who spit up or have tummy issues. Similac Spit-Up says their formula reduces it. Enfamil A.R., besides reducing spit-up by 50%, also comes with two prebiotics for the digestive health of the baby. They both use rice starch in order to thicken the formula, and both of them have sugars, which are bound to help the fuzzy stomach. They are both rich in vitamins and minerals.

Enfamil A.R.  has five main ingredients: nonfat milk, lactose, vegetable oils, rice starch and maltodextrin. This formula has two prebiotics.

Similac Spit-Up also has five main ingredients: vegetable oil, rice starch, corn syrup, milk protein isolate and one prebiotic. This formula does not have GMOs, either. Enfamil A.R. definitely wins this one.

Enfamil Gentlease vs Similac Pro-Sensitive

If your baby is fussy or gassy, you need to get a formula that’s made for sensitive stomachs. Enfamil Gentlease and Similac Sensitive, they are both made for troubled stomachs.

Enfamil Gentlease reduces gas, crying and fussiness. Similac Sensitive comes with many advantages, as well, such as preventing gas, fussiness and spit-up. They both come with similar levels of fats, proteins, water, vitamins and carbohydrates. They both use corn syrup solids, which makes it easier for the baby to digest cow milk. There are no GMOs.

Similac Sensitive comes with more Linoleic Acid, and it has added sugars. It has the 2′ -FL HMO sugar which is a powerful prebiotic. It also uses milk protein isolate, but this one can trigger allergies.

Enfamil Gentlease comes with partially hydrolyzed nonfat milk, and it helps the tummy more. Enfamil Gentlease is the winner here.

Enfamil Infant Formula vs Similac Advance

The formula of Enfamil Infant is basic, but it does take care of your kid in their first year of life. Similac Advance comes with the necessary fats and nutrients that help the baby a lot.

They are both milk-based – nonfat milk, whey protein, lactose, and a mix between high oleic safflower oil, soy oil, and coconut oil. There are no added extra sugars in these two, and they both have DHA, Choline and Vitamin K. They also contain a prebiotic.

Enfamil Infant also comes with Palm Olein oil, that’s a fatty acid very similar to breast milk. But it can upset tiny stomachs.

Similac Advance also has Lutein. Similac Advance wins this one.

Enfamil ProSobee vs. Similac Soy Isomil

Both of them come with formulas that contain no milk for children who cannot digest the proteins of a cow’s milk. In this case, parents should go for soy-based formulas.

These both are lactose-free, and they are very easy to digest for gassy babies. They both use corn syrup and soy protein isolate, hence avoiding milk-based products. They also both come with the complete nutrition that’s needed for a baby to grow up healthy – we’re talking about proteins, fats, vitamins, water and carbohydrates.

Enfamil ProSobee has soy protein as its third ingredient, then corn syrup and vegetable oils. Similac Soy Isomil has soy protein as the second ingredient for the list and then followed by oils. It also has sugar and higher Linoleic Acid levels.
