Natural Makeup Tips For The Best Glow

Spring is here and the flowers are blooming! After a long winter, it’s time to revive your skin and make it glow from within.

Spring is here and, with it, a new season of trends. While the catwalks are filled with bright white eyeliners, pink eyeshadow and yellow blush, we’ve kept our focus on the one look that will never go out of style: effortless beauty.

Here are some tips to get that healthy, fresh look without having to spend too much money.

  • Exfoliate: Exfoliation is crucial for achieving your most flawless-looking complexion. Exfoliating one or two times per week will help brighten your skin and reveal fresh, glowing skin from underneath. If you wear foundation daily, it’s particularly important to make sure your skin looks fresh in order to achieve the effortless look. You can use either a facial scrub or an acid-based exfoliating product once or twice a week (depending on your skin type) for glowing results.
  • Moisturize: With your skin being exposed to the cold and dry air during the winter, it’s important to moisturize your skin in the spring. For normal skin you can use a regular moisturizer, but if you have dry or sensitive skin, apply a thicker moisturizer before putting on your makeup. This will help protect your skin from the sun and from environmental pollutants.
  • Use illuminator: Illuminators are perfect for getting that youthful glow in the summer. Apply it on areas of your face where light would hit naturally like above your cheek bones and under your eyebrows. The illuminator will reflect light off of those areas making you look more radiant.
  • Blush: The next step is blush! It adds color back into your pale winter complexion and makes you look more awake. If you have fair skin, try using a pink or peach tone blush. If you have darker skin, try using a plum or bronze blush.
