The Offspring Will Tour Without Peter Parada

The famous American band, The Offspring, will not tour in complete form, as Peter Parada has been removed. According to the drummer’s online posts, he has been dropped due to his decision regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. Parada’s post explains that given his medical history and the possible side- effects of the Covid-19 vaccines, he decided with his doctor not to get vaccinated for now.

Peter Parada-‘deemed unsafe to be around’

The actor further explains on Instagram that he has had several health issues in the past, such as the Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), during his childhood, and last year, he got infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The drummer recovered after the coronavirus infection, and he believes he will do the same if getting a second infection. After analysing all the details with his doctor, Parada decided not to get a Covid-19 vaccine for now.

The music industry supports vaccination

According to Parada’s post, the music industry is more than recommending getting vaccinated against the coronavirus. He has been labelled as ‘unsafe’ to work with at the studio and on tour. This means that he will not be touring with The Offspring for the following shows. The drummer also mentioned that he is an advocate of informed consent. He does not support the government and any other corporations or organisations dictating medical procedures to the population.

The message also mentions that those unwilling to get the Covid-19 vaccines have multiple reasons and should not feel alone. Parada believes that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that the majority should not dictate the minority. He rebels against the system, which he accuses of not prioritising wellbeing.

Peter Parada will start a new project

In the post, he also mentioned that he has a new upcoming project with his daughter. He thanks fans, and he sends love to all those who suffered due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
