Natural Remedies For Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is not pretty at all. Although pregnancy looks beautiful, it doesn’t always feel that way. Nausea and vomiting symptoms usually appear in the first trimester or the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, some women are unfortunate to have these feelings throughout their entire pregnancy.

Here are three effective remedies to help you combat morning sickness. Plus, all of them are natural, so you don’t need to worry about hurting the baby in the womb.

Holy ginger

Include ginger in your diet if you feel nauseous. Although it doesn’t help with vomiting, it can surely relieve you of morning sickness. You can buy ginger supplements (1g) and take three or four pills per day, or you could eat food containing the plant, such as ginger ale, ginger lollipops, and ginger tea.

Special Techniques

There are a few special techniques that work on morning sickness for pregnant women. You can use them for prevention as well—first, your diet. Eat on a schedule, small amounts of food every one or two hours to keep your stomach full.

It helps if your diet is rich in carbohydrates, such as wheat bread, pasta, bananas, and green, leafy vegetables. Try avoiding greasy and spicy food for better results. Hydration is also essential, so drink a lot of liquids.

Snacks must not be forgotten. Always have something to munch on when you wake up. Be careful to switching positions. Moving too fast might make you nauseous. Smells can also have a turn on your pregnancy, so if you are a little bit sensitive, sniff a slice of lemon or suck on peppermint. Motion sickness or acupressure wristbands can help in the last case.

Medical Treatment

If your morning sickness is too serious, you don’t need to endure it. Seek medical attention if you present severe symptoms. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition that requires checking and treatment.
