Many parents worldwide have started to take more seriously parental control over the years when it comes to visual content. The COVID-29 pandemic has had a severe impact on our lives, and the same goes for children. They had to spend more time using electronic devices for school and also watching more visual content due to a lack of outdoor activities.

Even so, parents understand the importance of providing children with age-appropriate content and more. Many older films still have inappropriate cultural content such as sexism and racism. The same goes for several Disney films.

Some parents do not agree

For some parents, these were their childhoods’ films and heroes and they do not believe that their children should not watch them, as long as they agree with it.

Some parents have no idea how harmful and inappropriate TV content might be for their children. There are also parents that understand how important it is to teach children political correctness, how harmful racism is and how to deal with sexism. Thus, they do believe that some older films are not appropriate anymore.
